Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds has net worth of £125m and paid £1.6m for just a ring

Wrexham are one game away from the biggest game in their recent history – a home tie in the FA Cup fifth round with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Dragons were seconds away from booking their spot in the next round when John Egan bundled the ball home – forcing a replay at Bramall Lane. And one famous onlooker at the Racecourse in North Wales was Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds, alongside pal Rob McElhenney, purchased Wrexham in 2021, with the aim of restoring them to their former glory. The Canadian has a net worth of more than £125million, and he’s certainly not afraid to splash the cash.

Reynolds proposed to his now wife Blake Lively, who is also a Hollywood megastar, with a bespoke ring that cost £1.6m.

The Canadian tasked Lorraine Schwartz (who is responsible for Kim Kardashian and Beyonce’s rings) to make the bespoke diamond ring. Reynolds’ big payday came courtesy of the hit Marvel action-comedy Deadpool.

According to Celebrity Net Worth he took home $22m (£18.3m) from the first Deadpool – and a further $40m (£33.3m) thanks to the sequel.

Blake trolled Reynolds over the clash at the Racecourse between Wrexham and Sheffield United last month.

She posted a picture of her beau on her Instagram story with the caption: “I bought ESPN+ today. Just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live. Worth it. If you’re not watching this insane Wrexham game right now you’re missing out on these vibes!

“They’re playing a tea, three leagues higher and currently winning! Life makes no sense.”
