Fifty worst places to live in UK revealed – read the full list of crap towns and cities
Luton has been named the worst place to live in the UK.
A list of the top 50 crappiest places to live has been complied by I Live Here, using audience surveys and voting.
And the town mainly known for hat-making, having an average Championship side and a rather large Vauxhall Motors factory, has topped the list.

Coming in second was Peterborough, closely followed by Portsmouth – a town most associated with a terrible football ground, the Royal Navy and being the most densely populated city in the UK.
Coming in fourth place is Slough – which is somewhere most people just tend to pass through when travelling by train to London – with Aylesbury and Aldershot in fifth and sixth place, respectively.
Andover finds itself in seventh, while Swindon – where people are known as Swindonians – ranks eighth.
The grim top 10 is completed by Bournemouth in ninth and oft-slated Bradford in 10th.
Other key places on the list are Liverpool (16th), which will host Eurovision later this year, and Manchester (43rd), despite Gary Neville’s best efforts to turn it into skyscraper heaven.
