Kate Middleton ‘hasn’t changed’ says ex-teacher who surprised her on royal walkabout

The former history teacher of the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has told how she “hasn’t change a bit” after surprising her during a recent royal outing.

Kate was visiting the National Maritime Museum in Cornwall yesterday (February 9) when her former teacher Jim Embury popped in to say hello.

The bloke, who hasn’t seen Kate for 25 years, is actually a volunteer at the museum.

Images of the pair meeting show a shocked Kate, while a video shows her saying “of course I remember you”.

The pair embraced, which is actually in breach of royal protocol – not that the 41-year-old royal, or the happy masses watching on, seemed to mind.

She added: “I remember the classroom and everything.

“The things you taught me, I now teach to my children.”

And speaking to the MailOnline after the meeting, he shed some light on what the future Queen was like during her school days at St Andrews School.

He said: “She’s exuberant and is just like she was.

“It was an incredible meeting and the first time I had seen Kate in 25 years.

Jim Embury was thrilled to see his ex-student

“She hasn’t changed, not one bit, and is just like she was – conscientious, considerate and exuberant.

“The prospect of meeting Kate after all these years was very exciting so I went in on my day off.

“She is a lovely, considerate, wonderful woman – she was a fantastic student and it was so nice to see her again.”

Kate appeared at the museum alongside husband Prince William – although he was not around when she was catching up with her former teacher.

The pair were given a tour of the museum and were allowed to help refurbish a small wooden boat during the event.

They then went to watch pupil’s from a local school take part in a model boat race.
