Ex-Miss Croatia who wore risky outfits in Qatar bring back red and white top at NBA game

Former Miss Croatia Ivana Knoll brought back the red and white chequered outfits fans fell in love with in the World Cup.

When it comes to memorable performances and popularity, she was arguably a close second to Argentina captain Lionel Messi. Qatari locals took pictures of her in the stands, thousands of fans wanted selfies, and Piers Morgan himself even bagged himself an interview with her.

Her Instagram page attracted one million new followers over the course of the World Cup. However, it appears she has her eye on a new sport to dominate.

Knoll was seen watching the Los Angeles Clippers’ 106-119 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA. She even managed to get herself a picture on the court at the Crypto.com Arena.

While she was not quite as revealing as she was in Qatar, Knoll did manage to wear a denim mini-skirt and the iconic pattern of her home nation. As a result of her daring outfits and audacious photo shoots, Croatia became most fans’ second team at the World Cup.

Fortunately for those adoring fans, the 2018 finalist got all the way to the Semi-finals before losing to eventual winners Argentina. She may not have been greeted with the same hero’s reception as Zlatko Dalic’s side, but she was still one of the most memorable parts of the World Cup.

Having already taken over football, Ivana Knoll may now have her sight set on Basketball

“First I was thinking if the World Cup is happening there, they will allow us everything to make it comfortable for all fans without any of the restrictions,” she told PA, in an interview. “Then I heard about the rules and I was shocked. The dress code forbids showing shoulders, knees, belly and everything and I was like ‘Oh my God, I don’t even have the clothes to cover all of that’.

“I was super angry because if I’m not a Muslim and if we in Europe respect hijab and niqab, I think they need also to respect our way of life, our religion and in the end me wearing dresses, bikinis because I’m Catholic from Croatia who is here because of the World Cup.

“But when I arrived I was surprised they were not making any problems about dressing, they allow you to wear everything what you want – except in government buildings, and in the end that’s fine.”
