Southampton fan turns up for game with giant P45 for manager Nathan Jones
A giant P45 bearing the name of under pressure manager Nathan Jones was spotted at St Mary’s on Saturday during Southampton’s Premier League clash against Wolves.
Since being named as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s replacement the former Luton boss has overseen five wins from 13 matches – and also gone on a bizarre rant.
Making their feelings clear during their home tie against Wolves, several signs criticising the current management were spotted including the P45.

P45 forms are issued by employers to former staff who no longer work for them, with this mocked up one written out to Mr Nathan Jones, with St Mary’s Stadium as the location.
The snap has since gone viral on Twitter, with Southampton having a fine start to the game thanks to Carlos Alcaraz’ goal and Mario Lemina’s red card.
One fan said after seeing the sign: “I’m sure if he did get sacked his payoff would soften the blow nicely.”

A second added: “He will be paid off handsomely. Unlike most football fans, who are given their P45.”
A third wrote: “I saw that too. Regardless of position on management, first thought in going to a game should be backing the team.”
Southampton went into the game sitting bottom of the table with 15 points from 21 matches, looking to get three points in order to climb above Bournemouth.

Jones said before the fixture: “I categorically think I am the right man for the job because I know the work I do.
“If others, outside influences or anything, feel that I don’t know. But if you ask me I categorically think I am the right man for the job.
“I know what I can do and what I do on a daily basis and I know what we need.”
