Evil killer cop Wayne Couzens pleads guilty to three counts of indecent exposure

Sarah Everard’s killer Wayne Couzens has pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to three counts of indecent exposure between November 2020 and February 2021.

He appeared in court via video link and admitted exposing his genitals in a woodland in Deal, Kent, on November 13 2020, and twice in a branch of McDonald’s in Swanley on February 14 and 17 2021.

Couzens is due to be sentenced on March 6.

Prosecutors decided it was not in the public interest to seek a trial for three other counts against him.

Couzens, who was a diplomatic protection officer with the Met Police, was charged with four counts of indecent exposure in the six weeks before he killed Sarah Everard.

A vetting check when he joined the Met failed to flag up that his car had been linked to an alleged exposure incident in Kent in 2015.

One police colleague described Couzens after his arrest as “an oddball, a weirdo,” adding: “There were rumours about him being a pervert.”

Couzens had been absent from work on a number of occasions in the weeks running up to March 3, 2021, when he abducted, raped and then murdered 33-year-old marketing executive Sarah Everard.

A former colleague said: “No one knew why he was off sick, but you have to wonder now what was going on.”
