Woman who believes she’s Madeleine McCann shares ‘new proof’ she’s missing girl

A woman who has pushed for a DNA test to “prove she’s Madeleine McCann” has shared some more supposed “evidence” that she is the missing girl

Julia Wendell believes she is the girl who disappeared in 2007 during a family trip to Portugal at just four years old.

The 21-year-old went viral on social media after sharing supposed “evidence” that she is Madeleine – including having freckles in the same place and a speck in her eye.

But now, she has shared videos on Instagram of her photo comparison to Madeleine’s mum and dad Kate and Gerry McCann, believing that they are “proof” she is the missing girl.

Julia Wendell, 21, went viral over her claims she could be Madeleine McCann

The clips, which each have more than one million views, show her picture merging into a photo of each parent – which has left viewers glued to their phones for answers.

One user wrote: “This is fascinating me I am literally glued to my phone constantly checking for updates.

“Have you spoken or emailed Kate or Jerry? Have you heard anything?”

Another replied: “Me too! I just don’t know what to think, this whole thing is nuts.

“I feel so sorry for the girl, I just hope she gets the answers she needs.”

However, not everyone has been so convinced as her claims have sparked huge backlash online forcing her to seek help from a Persian medium, who has vowed to investigate her case.

Dr Fia Johansson has reportedly helped the US police on missing person cases.

The self-proclaimed psychic issued a statement claiming to be investigating Julia Wendell’s case and urged people giving the young woman hate online to stop and “respect her privacy”.

Dr Johansson declared there was “no need to spew hatred, judgement and especially threats”.

Representatives for the McCann family have said they are “taking no chances”

She added that Julia “is a human being who deserves respect” regardless of anyone’s personal opinion on the case.

She added: “This is unacceptable and needs to stop.”

Despite public scepticism, a source close to the McCanns said the family is “taking no chances.”

The source told the Daily Star: “The family are taking no chances, they are willing to look at all leads.

“It is important they look at all of the factors, the girl does look similar.

“There’s no disputing that. If what she says is true, there is every chance it could be her. It all adds up.”
