Jake Paul trolls Tommy Fury by claiming ‘Molly-Mae is tired of being the breadwinner’

Jake Paul has stoked the fire further ahead of this weekend’s fight with Tommy Fury by claiming partner Molly-Mae Hague is the ‘breadwinner’ of the family.

YouTube star Paul will take on professional boxer Fury in Saudi Arabia after years of jibing, with two previous fights having already fallen through.

The American has continually used Fury’s relationship with Molly-Mae to rile his opponent, alleging the former Love Island star slid into his DMs back in 2018, before sharing the ‘flirty’ message.

She insisted the screenshot was fake but the feud intensified recently when Paul seemingly announced the arrival of Fury’s daughter Bambi before the couple had done so.

He has now suggested Fury was forced into the fight by his partner as she is ‘tired’ of being the main provider for the family.

Paul told BT Sport: ‘He has kind of been forced into this by the fans, the media, his family and probably Molly. She is probably sitting there going, Yo I just had a baby, I can’t be the one to pay the bills the entire time.

“He is going to be paid £20k a fight, minus taxes, he can only pay for so many diapers. It’s a hard business. This is his biggest pay day and he is going to actually be able to support his family a little bit if he gets a good wealth manager and invests his money properly.

“Molly is probably like, yeah bro I’m tired of being the breadwinner of this relationship.”

Tommy and Molly-Mae met on series five of Love Island in 2019 and have enjoyed great success since leaving the villa. Molly-Mae is believed to have earned the most of any previous islander after bagging a deal with clothing brand Pretty Little Thing, where she is now a creative director.

The couple’s net worth is thought to be over £4.5m, although that is far less than the man who will take on unbeaten 8-0 fighter Tommy this weekend.

Paul made his professional debut in 2020, having become one of the highest-paid YouTube stars in the world alongside brother Logan. His net worth is believed to be closer to £25m and he is the surprising favourite to add to his riches with victory in Saudi Arabia.
