She plunged a knife into him 22 times and was found guilty in Winchester after having initially claiming she accidentally hit Fitzgerald in the neck with a knife as she tried to grab a money box.

It was heard by the jury that Groves kept framed pictures of serial killers at her home in Havant in Hampshire and was the owner of “decorative” daggers.

In the collection of images on the wall were Myra Hindley and Ted Bundy, as well as horror film villains such as Jigsaw and Chucky.

The pair are understood to have shared a mutual appreciation of BDSM.

Then, she revealed to her friend that she had a “really big secret” she wanted to tell her.

Mrs Baitup said of the video call: “That’s when she went upstairs, went into her room, pointed the camera at [Frankie] and said ‘I’ve done him’.
