Cheltenham hope that shares name with ‘milf’ porn star finishes third on return

Cheltenham Festival contender Brandy Love – who shares a name with a popular porn star – has finished third on her return to the track.

Horse racing punters looking up the festival favourite before the showpiece next month might be shocked to instead find results for the ‘milf’ 49-year-old adult actress known as ‘Brandi Love.’

But the seven-year-old mare is now being backed by some racing fans to record a victory at Cheltenham for top Irish trainer Willie Mullins.

She is among the early favourites to win the Close Brothers Mares’ Hurdle at the iconic festival, but is set to be rivalled by star mares including Honeysuckle, Epatante and Love Envoi.

That will likely not stop excitable punters taking a chance on Brandy Love – even if only for her name alone.

And she was back on the track for the first time in over 10 months as she made a long-awaited competitive return at Punchestown on Wednesday.

Brandy Love had not been seen since a Grade 1 victory at Fairyhouse last April and has now been been added to the superstar stable of owners Joe and Marie Donnelly.

But it was not a winning return in the Grade 3 Racing TV Quevega Mares’ Hurdle as she was outrun by race favourite Queens Brook and pipped to second by Anna Bunina.

Jockey Paul Townsend guided Brandy Love to third place on only her fourth start over hurdles, lengthening the odds for her Cheltenham meeting next month.

Regardless of her form, however, the Brandy Love moniker will jump off the page for some randy punters running the rule over the horses to back at the famous festival.
