Ex-Premier League WAG compared to Ned Flanders and told she’s ‘wearing nothing at all’

Marta Diaz is used to over-complimentary, borderline creepiness in the comments section of her social media uploads.

However, the partner of ex-Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon was instead compared to iconic Simpsons character Ned Flanders after posting her latest pics. Diaz was posing for photos in the cold, icy ski slopes of the Grandvalira ski resort in Andorra.

She sported a red and white all in one skiing playsuit with matching white ski boots and a fluffy white hat. In and amongst the default comments from gushing individuals, there was a curious amount of messages saying Diaz was “wearing nothing at all”.

At first, one may assume this is one of the strangest, and almost uncomfortable, coincidences ever contrived in a comments section. However, thousands of fans were actually referencing an iconic scene from the Simpsons.

During the ‘Little Big Mom’ episode in the 11th season of the iconic American cartoon sitcom, the Simpsons family go on a family skiing holiday. During their trip, they bump into next door neighbour and Homer’s sworn enemy, Flanders.

Flanders was wearing a bodysuit that was so tight, it was clinging to his body and even escaping up his backside. “It allows for maximum mobility,” Flanders responded after Home said the suit was “a bit revealing”.

“It feels like I’m wearing nothing at all,” Flanders added. Naturally, this made Homer wince so hard, he accidentally sent himself hurtling down a hill, legs akimbo, and into the path of crotch high rocks.

We are assuming Diaz’s photoshoot did not send Reguilon or the photographer hurtling down an Andorran mountain at speed. If things keep going the way they are, Reguilon will be slipping into the free-agent wilderness.

The left-back has only made four appearances since joining Atletico Madrid on loan at the start of the season. Injuries have severely limited his playing time at the Wanda Metropolitano and with his contract at Tottenham set to expire next season, Reguilon could find himself without a club next summer.
