Tyson Fury makes £100,000 bet on outcome of brother Tommy’s fight with Jake Paul

Tyson Fury is so confident his brother will triumph over Jake Paul that he’s placed a £100,000 bet on it.

The heavyweight champion of the world not only believes that Tommy will have his hand raised at the end of the bout, but that he’ll win by knocking his American opponent out.

“Tommy knocks out 90% of people that he spars with or drops them at least, so he’s a very hard puncher and Jake Paul will find that out tomorrow,” Tyson told iFL TV.

“I’ve got 100 racks on it for an inside the distance stoppage, so if he loses, then I’ll lose 100 bags as well. I’ve got him at 3-1.

“I know Tommy is going to knock him out. What is a little bit stupid is I see all these experts and professional boxers picking Jake Paul over Tommy. I’m like, ‘What the hell are these guys watching?’, because Tommy will absolutely deck him.

“I think Tommy can get him out of there whenever really. It’ll definitely be inside the distance and it won’t be a points job for sure. Tommy wins by knockout.”

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are finally set to meet in the ring

If Tyson’s bet comes in he stands to make £250,000 profit, not that the Gypsy King’s bank account needs any padding, mind.

Tommy and Jake are set to finally go toe-to-toe in Saudi Arabia this Sunday after nearly two years of build. They were initially scheduled to fight in December 2021, but Tommy was forced to pull out due to injury. The bout was then rescheduled for August 2022, but got canned for a second time after Tommy was denied entry to the US.

During their pre-fight press conference on Thursday, Paul and Fury agreed to a winner-take-all stipulation in terms of the fight purse.

Tyson (L) has been helping his half brother Tommy (R) prepare for the fight

Despite threatening to disown his brother if he loses on Sunday, Tyson insists Tommy is “calm as a cucumber” and doesn’t think the magnitude of the stage will get to him.

“If he loses to Jake Paul, he’s finished with boxing, isn’t he? But I can’t see it. I think even if Jake Paul had a hammer in each hand, he could [not] beat Tommy anyway,” Fury told Seconds Out.
