Jake Paul reminds Ebanie Bridges of herself as she backs YouTuber to beat Tommy Fury
Ebanie Bridges has backed Jake Paul to beat Tommy Fury in their blockbuster boxing clash on Sunday night.
YouTuber Paul will finally take on the Love Island winner in Saudi Arabia after their meeting was cancelled on two occasions previously. The pair came face-to-face at their weigh-in on Saturday, with both men squaring up to each other and having to be separated as things threatened to get out of hand.
But ‘Problem Child’ Paul’s calmness in comparison to Fury’s visible frustration gave the impression of a confident fighter. And current IBF bantamweight champion Bridges likened Paul’s demeanour to her own in the build up to important bouts.

She added: “Win or lose, he is a winner, he said he would make waves in boxing & ‘take over’ & this fight is 1 of the most talked about fights between boxers & casuals/general public since May [Floyd Mayweather] Pac [Manny Pacquiao], & May [Conor] Mcgreggor [sic].
“U can’t deny his success. Gotta have respect for @jakepaul. Period.”
Social media star-turned-boxer Paul currently boasts a record of 6-0 since making the transition in 2020. But he faces his toughest test yet in Fury, who is the American’s first professional opponent in boxing.
Fury hails from a family of proud boxers, with his older brother Tyson being the current WBC heavyweight champion. Tommy is also undefeated after eight professional bouts.
