Viral England fan ‘gets everywhere’ as he’s seen loving life at Carabao Cup final
The England fan who went viral at the World Cup was spotted supporting Manchester United at the Carabao Cup final.
Retired teacher Andy Milne became an internet sensation last December for bearing a resemblance to former Three Lions boss Steve McClaren. It soon emerged he’d been to the last eight World Cups, and had a knack for getting in front of the cameras.
One of the many times he was snapped in the stands at footy games was cheering on United in their 2016 FA Cup final win over Crystal Palace – and he made another appearance at Wembley on Sunday (February 26).

Of course, Andy was picked up by Sky Sports celebrating after his beloved Red Devils had beat Newcastle 2-0 to claim their first trophy in six years.
He became the talk of social media during England’s 3-0 win over Senegal after he was broadcast live to millions of viewers on ITV holding up a replica World Cup.
Presenter Laura Woods even got a selfie with him and the trophy which he shared on Twitter, to which she replied: “Amazing!! Lovely to meet you!”

There was confusion when snaps emerged of him cheering on France in the 2018 final and Colombia in 2014. But it was swiftly clarified that he supports another team after England have been eliminated from a tournament.
Andy told The Mirror: “This is my eighth World Cup but it is the first time that I have been able to do so many games. It’s a retirement present to myself, I have been saving for four years.”
He also joked: “He is a very handsome guy, Steve McClaren. There was some trolling at first, but then came the really nice comments.”
