Neil Robertson produces ‘filth’ positional shot that leaves snooker fans salivating
Neil Robertson staked his claim for the ‘best positional shot of the decade’ as he wowed snooker fans with his surgical precision.
The Thunder from Down Under is ramping up World Championship preparations ahead of his latest title tilt at the Crucible next month.
And the 2010 world champion looked back in fine form as he produced an audacious shot at the Championship League in Leicester.
Robertson is yet to reach a ranking final in what has been an unusually quiet year for the prolific Australian. He has battled illness in key events and struggled for form, but still has the chance to end his season on a high in Sheffield.

And the world no.4 left fans in awe with a jaw-dropping moment in his victory over fellow Crucible contender Jack Lisowski at the Morningside Arena on Wednesday.
Robertson looked to be in danger of running out of position in the second frame as he was faced with a straight red along the cushion.
But after weighing up his options, Robertson threaded the eye of a needle as he used deep-screw to come back off the cushion, finding a tiny gap in between the reds to land perfectly on the black.

“Some shot that. There is barely room for the cue ball to go through the reds,” Dave Hendon said in an understating manner on commentary.
The Championship League posed the question on Twitter whether Robertson had just hit the positional tournament of the year, and he later reacted: “Of the decade!”
“Yeah, shot of the decade, true class,” one fan agreed. “One of the most satisfying positional shots ever,” another asserted.
“I mean that’s filth,” the popular Out of Context Snooker account reacted, while one declared: “You won’t see better than that.”
Robertson went on to defeat Lisowski 3-1 in his group match, and has the chance to secure a spot in next season’s prestigious Champions of Champions event in the final day of action on Thursday.
