Fans think Antonio Conte is ‘sending for Richarlison’ after saying season has been ‘s***’

Antonio Conte has agreed with Richarlison’s x-rated assessment of his first season at Tottenham Hotspur by labelling it “s***”.

The Brazilian was left fuming after Spurs were knocked out of the Champions League by AC Milan on Wednesday. He launched a verbal tirade against Conte by claiming he did not understand the manager’s decision to bench him for the last-16 tie.

Richarlison, who is yet to score in the Premier League, said this season had been “sh**” and that he should have played more games. “

Yesterday, they asked me to take a test at the gym, that if I was good I would go to the game and, at the time of the game, they left me on the bench,” he said in his post-match interview.

That in turn led to questions being raised with Conte about Richarlison on Friday. “I watched the interview of Richarlison and he didn’t criticise me,” Conte explained. “He said his season was s*** and he’s right, his season has been not good.

“He started well with us, he then had injury in the Champions League and then he went to World Cup and he had another serious injury. He came back and stayed one month out. Then another injury.”

Tottenham are currently fourth in the league, a staggering 18 points behind north London rivals Arsenal in first.

In addition to falling behind the Gunners this season and their Champions League exit, they were also knocked out of the FA Cup fifth round by Sheffield United, taking their trophy drought up to 16 years.

Meanwhile, Conte’s future at Spurs remains uncertain. His contract expires at the end of the season, though many Tottenham fans have already called for him to leave before then.
