Page Three bombshell Lucy Pinder throws support behind Gary Lineker in MOTD crisis

Page Three legend Lucy Pinder has spoken out in support of Gary Lineker amid the Match of the Day crisis.

Lineker was suspended by the BBC on Friday (March 10) after reportedly refusing to back down over a tweet criticising the government’s asylum policy, in which he compared it to Nazi Germany. Since then a number of his colleagues have refused to work MOTD in solidarity with him.

There’s also been mass public outcry over the Beeb’s decision – with Pinder one of many left fuming. Taking to Twitter after the news broke, she wrote: “F***ing outrageous. You’re on the right side of history @GaryLineker.”

When pundit Ian Wright announced he won’t be in his usual seat for tonight’s show, Pinder quoted his post with a crown emoji, while she hailed Alan Shearer as a “legend” for following suit.

The 39-year-old glamour model continued her defence of the MOTD crew when Tory MP Nadine Dorries tweeted: “.@GaryLineker does need to decide though, is he a footie presenter or a candidate for the Labour Party? We discuss on my show tonight on @TalkTV 8pm!”

The Page Three legend labelled his axing “outrageous”

Pinder called Dorries out for her hypocrisy, replying: “Aren’t you trying to be a TV presenter?! Your hypocrisy is utterly moronic.

“Also why do your lot insinuate that you can only express a political view if you’re an MP? Your deranged policies affect all voters. Can’t wait to see the back of you hateful lot.”

As it stands, MOTD will be going ahead without a presenter or pundits, while they’ll have to use World Feed commentary as the six regulars have decided to boycott too. It has also been reported that Premier League players are in discussions to skip interviews with the show.
