Laura Woods revealed she’s too focused on work to be in a relationship just like Anthony Joshua.

Woods interviewed Joshua after his unanimous points victory over Jermaine Franklin on iFL TV. And things got a bit steamy between the pair as they briefly flirted throughout their post-match chat on Saturday.

However, Woods put a swift end to any hopes AJ had of a budding relationship when she declared she’s too busy to be in one, prompting the heavyweight to concur.

After their bout of flirting, AJ asked the talkPSORT host: “Are you in a relationship?” and she replied: “I’m not in a relationship, are you?”. The Watford-born slugger then also revealed he was single, however, both parties seem set to remain alone for the foreseeable future after Woods’ following admission.

She proceeded to state she was, “too focused on work”, to be tied down, and AJ replied: “Um, yeah,” when the blonde asked if he felt the same. And making light of the situation, she added: “We’ve got so much in common.”

Elaborating on why he’s single at the moment, AJ explained: “With boxing, I feel I never wanted to commit because I didn’t want to go training and I’m busy arguing with my missus or something and my head’s not in the game.

“I just decided to keep my head where it needs to be.” Woods is currently hot property in the sports world, with Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek also professing his interest in the presenter recently.

The midfielder admitted he had a crush on Woods on talkSPORT last week, and she joked afterward she’ll get his number later. Joshua referenced their exchange when shooting his shot at Woods and conceded defeat to the Blues ace, saying: “I know [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek’s beat me to it.”

However, for a split second, it seemed he was in with a chance when Woods replied: “Sorry. No it’s fine, there’s no competition.” But that was until Woods swiftly shut the door on any potential romance just moments later.
