NFL London Games announced for 2023 with one team featuring twice in capital

The NFL is making its triumphant return to Europe for the 2023 season with five games to be played across England and Germany.

Among the nine NFL franchises scheduled to play in the 2023 NFL International Games, the Jacksonville Jaguars is to become the first ever team to play two regular season games in London.

The Games will be kicked off by the Jaguars on October 1 as they take on the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium in what will be their historic 10th regular season home game in London.

A week later, the Jags will be in action again but at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which is the only purpose-built NFL stadium outside of the United States, as they take on the Buffalo Bills as the road team.

The last game in London will take place on October 15 between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans before the NFL road show travels to Germany.

Frankfurt Stadium, the home stadium of Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, will host a clash between the Miami Dolphins and reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs on November 5.

The NFL’s European trip ends with a game on November 12 between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots also at Frankfurt Stadium.

“We are also pleased to confirm that the two games in Germany will be played in Frankfurt, a city steeped in NFL heritage.

“We look forward to staging both games at Eintracht Frankfurt’s Stadium, building on the incredible atmosphere experienced at last season’s game in Munich.”

Jaguars’ star quarterback Trevor Lawrence spoke of his delight to once again play in London as he praised the support the team receives overseas.,

“We are excited to again compete in the NFL’s International Games and face off against the Falcons and Bills in London,” he said.

“Hosting the Falcons at Wembley Stadium will be awesome only to be followed by playing on the road against the Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“I’m pumped for the experience and know the support from Duval will be strong at both games.”
