Shaquille O’Neal gives Charles Barkley death stare as they square up after bump

Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley were involved in their first heated exchange during an NBA game for years.

The pair, who have the best love-hate relationship on cable television, have delighted audiences with their appearances on NBA on TNT, as they laugh, argue, take shots, and occasionally get physical with each other.

Sunday’s incident ahead of the Miami Heat match up against Boston Celtics was no exception to their fun factor, as the duo were making their way to their seats.

During Sunday night’s game, Hall of Famer Barkley accidentally bumped into O’Neal, which resulted in a brutal staring down from the 7ft 1in colossus.

That led to Barkley responding to Shaq’s stare by putting his fists up to fight.

Thankfully, the stony faces quickly turned to smiles as they both laughed it up.

It’s not the first time the pair have been involved in a ‘dispute’ while the cameras have been rolling, and fans hope it won’t be the last time either.

In a recent post match review O’Neal and Barkley were involved in a hilarious screaming match while the crew was interviewing Heat guard Gabe Vincent.

Barkley starts by asking the guest a serious question, before an interjection from Shaq sees it all descend into chaos.

Barkley asked Vincent: “A coach can’t give you confidence, but he can take your confidence away. How does coach (Erik) Spoelstra instil in you and all the guys, y’all can take any shot you want, and you feel comfortable doing it?”

Before Vincent has a chance to respond Shaq jumps in by saying: “Didn’t I just ask that question?”

Barkley tries to respond, but only gets as far as “no” before Shaq continues, “yes I did”.

The pair then start a light-hearted, heated exchange, which quickly dissipates when Shaq starts laughing while co-host Ernie Johnson asks the guys to let the guest answer the question.
