Sky Sports legend Martin Brundle photobombs Neymar snap on F1 grid walk
Formula One commentator Martin Brundle hilariously photobombed Neymar during his Spanish Grand Prix grid walk.
The veteran Sky Sports reporter is no stranger to getting up close and personal with some of the world’s biggest celebrities at F1 events. His grid walks have become a pre-race staple, with fans eagerly anticipating his often awkward interactions.
And Brundle certainly didn’t disappoint at Sunday’s race in Catalonia after he spotted Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar taking a selfie with a fan on the grid.

The ever-optimistic Brundle said: “I’m going to photobomb this,” before creeping into the background of the photo.
Brundle then managed to grab Neymar for a brief chat, with the Brazilian saying: “I’m good, I’ve come again to the Formula 1. It’s a great experience and happy to be here.”

Neymar has shown increasing interest in F1 this season, appearing at the Monaco Grand Prix last weekend. He even missed PSG’s title-deciding fixture against Strasbourg in favour of playing poker at a glitzy Monte Carlo casino.
The 31-year-old was later pictured mingling with Lewis Hamilton – an honorary Brazilian citizen – ahead of qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix. As the pair chatted, the seven-time world champion asked Neymar if he would like to try out his Mercedes F1W14.
The World Cup star grabbed the opportunity with both hands. After carefully climbing into the car, Neymar was awestruck by the number of controls on the steering wheel.
And he appeared in great spirits again on Sunday upon his return to Barcelona, where he spent four seasons between 2013 and 2017. Neymar won two La Liga titles and a Champions League winners’ medal with the Catalans.
