Liverpool ‘trigger Szoboszlai’s release clause’ and he’ll undergo medical soon

Liverpool have triggered Dominik Szoboszlai’s €70m release clause.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the RB Leipzig midfielder will become a Liverpool player after the Reds triggered his release clause just hours before the deadline expired.

Szoboszlai, 22, can operate across the midfielder and on either wing and looks to become Liverpool’s second signing of the transfer window after Alexis Mac Allister arrived from Brighton & hove Albion earlier on in the window.

Klopp’s engine room rebuild is taking shape after Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Naby Keita, James Milner and Arthur all left the club upon the end of their deals.

It had been reported earlier on in the day that the Reds were interested and negotiations had begun. But Liverpool have now seemingly got their man after wrapping the deal up in a swift and ruthless manner.

Klopp’s engine room rebuild is taking shape after Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Naby Keita, James Milner and Arthur all left the club at the end of their deals.

The Hungary international will offer another attacking option to Klopp’s side after scoring 20 goals and registering 22 assists in 91 games for the Bundesliga outfit.

Szoboszlai joined RB Leipzig in 2021 after coming through at sister-team RB Salzburg in Austria.
