Queen Camilla’s pal claims Buckingham Palace ‘not fit to house homeless people’

A friend of the Royal Family has claimed Buckingham Palace would not be suitable for housing the homeless as it is “not good enough”.

Petronella Wyatt, a friend of Queen Camilla, alleged the royal abode was not up to scratch for those without a home in a heated debate over King Charles‘ vision for a slimmed down monarchy.

She claimed Charles will be “giving other palaces back” as a way of streamlining the monarchy. “They have said no slackers welcome here [in the Royal Family] and that’s what they are doing,” Wyatt added on GB News.

Wyatt was speaking on the news channel with host Dan Wootton and presenter Jeni Barnett..

Barnett questioned why the family could not give more back, saying: “It’s about one family that’s worth £37billion pounds, that could be put back into the economy to help people.

“If we were living in a country that was egalitarian, where the NHS worked, the schools worked, the utilities worked, I’d say nothing but it’s a symbol of what we don’t need. What do they give back?”

This is when Wyatt countered: “Charles is giving Balmoral back! He’ll be giving other palaces back. This is a really streamlined monarchy.”

Barnett went on to say: “It would be a really good move if Buckingham Palace helped the homeless.” Wyatt wasn’t so sure.

She replied: “I am sorry but I wouldn’t put the homeless in Buckingham Palace because it’s not good enough for the homeless!

“The paint is peeling off the walls, there is mould, there is damp, the plumbing doesn’t work properly – believe me, because I know.”
