In recent years, there have been a number of mysterious private plane crashes in Russia that have been linked to Yevgeniy Prigozhin, a Russian businessman and close associate of President Vladimir Putin. Prigozhin is believed to be the mastermind behind the Internet Research Agency, a so-called “troll factory” that has been accused of interfering in the 2016 US presidential election.
The first crash occurred in March 2018, when a private plane carrying three people crashed near Moscow. The victims were identified as Yevgeniy Prigozhin’s son, his daughter-in-law, and a business associate. The cause of the crash was never determined, but there were suspicions that it was linked to Prigozhin’s activities.
In October 2018, another private plane carrying four people crashed near St. Petersburg. The victims were identified as two of Prigozhin’s associates and two of his employees. Again, the cause of the crash was never determined, but it was widely speculated that it was linked to Prigozhin’s activities.
The most recent crash occurred in December 2019, when a private plane carrying six people crashed near Moscow. The victims were identified as three of Prigozhin’s associates and three of his employees. This time, the cause of the crash was determined to be mechanical failure, but there were still suspicions that it was linked to Prigozhin’s activities.
The mysterious crashes have raised questions about Prigozhin’s activities and his possible involvement in the crashes. While there is no evidence that he was directly involved in any of the crashes, it is clear that he has been linked to all of them in some way.
