Another arrest in connection with blaze that ravaged Crooked House pub

A sixth individual has been apprehended by the police as part of their inquiry into the vandalism of the Crooked House pub in Dudley.

Today, Staffordshire Police announced that a 23-year-old man from Leicestershire has been apprehended and is currently in custody. The police have stated that the arrest was made due to suspicions of involvement in a conspiracy to commit arson with the intention of endangering lives.

The suspect has been granted conditional bail after being released. This recent arrest marks the sixth one carried out by the police, coming right after the apprehension of three men and one woman.

All the arrests have been made in connection to the August 5 blaze at the 18th-century pub, the destruction of which has caused a national uproar. All arrested parties, including the men, aged 33, 44, 51 and 66, and the woman, aged 34, have been released on conditional bail.
