The National Federation of Fish Fryers (NFFF) has conducted covert taste tests across the UK in an effort to resolve the ongoing dispute. They have narrowed down the competition to 40 seafood takeaways that they believe are the finest in the country.
The judging panel of the National Fish and Chip Awards, consisting of seafood enthusiasts, evaluated the fish and chip shops based on more than just their cuisine. They also considered their dedication to protecting the environment, understanding of their products, and how they fulfill their duties as employers.
On February 28 next year, a glamorous event will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel in London to determine the best fish and chip takeaway of the year among the 40 participating eateries.

Andrew Crook, the president of the NFFF, stated that the category of Fish and Chip Takeaway of the Year is known for being challenging to excel in. However, the panel of experts faced numerous difficult choices while making their decisions.
