Israeli festivalgoer on horrifying moment Hamas gunmen opened fire

An Israeli individual attending a festival recounts the horrifying experience when armed Hamas terrorists began shooting at fleeing attendees, targeting them systematically and causing panic and chaos.

  • After terrorists started targeting innocent festival attendees, Gili Yoskovich sought refuge beneath a tree.

A festival attendee from Israel has recounted the terrifying experience when armed individuals from Hamas abruptly infiltrated a dance festival and began shooting indiscriminately at anyone in sight, causing panic as people desperately tried to escape.

Gili Yoskovich, filled with fear, sought shelter beneath a tree and trembled for three hours while bullets flew around her. The attackers, targeting defenseless partygoers at an all-night trance music event near Kibbutz Re’im, near the Gaza Strip, unleashed their gunfire on Saturday morning.

The mother recounted the horrifying experience of witnessing young individuals losing their lives during the night of celebration marking the end of the Sukkot religious holiday. Hamas militants were ruthlessly targeting and killing people, moving from one tree to another.

Gili quickly ran for her life and took cover under a fruit tree in the field when the heartless attackers started shooting. She remained hidden there until she heard Hebrew voices and was eventually saved by Israeli soldiers.

She informed the BBC that she observed numerous deaths in her surroundings, but remained silent and did not express any emotions such as crying or taking action.

Gili Yoskovich, filled with fear, sought shelter beneath a tree for a duration of three hours while Hamas militants launched an attack on vulnerable attendees of a festival near Kibbutz Re’im, in proximity to the Gaza Strip.

“I found myself… inhaling and exhaling, reassuring myself: ‘I am going to perish. It’s alright, simply focus on your breath, and gently shut your eyes’.”

A video surfaced on TikTok, revealing festival attendees seemingly unaware of the approaching danger hovering several hundred feet above them in the distance.

Shortly after sunrise, the vigilant cameraperson captures footage of grey dots in the sky, later revealed to be Palestinian militants, as they are zoomed in on.

Hamas militants successfully entered Israel without being detected by using paragliding to cross the typically well-protected border.

Shortly after, the dancing comes to a halt and panic erupts as attendees of the festival are compelled to flee for their safety, while armed members of Hamas start shooting and abducting anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.

The partygoers were surrounded as terrorists used paragliders to land in the field and came at them ‘from four or five places’ and started firing at people running away.

Gili recounted the terrifying events of the massacre, witnessing people losing their lives in close proximity. She expressed, “They systematically moved from one tree to another, firing their weapons. It was chaos, with gunfire coming from both directions. I witnessed numerous deaths occurring in my vicinity. Despite the fear, I remained silent and composed, refraining from shedding tears or taking any action.”

Hamas militants were heard opening up a ‘big van’ to grab more weapons and stayed in the area for three hours and came within touching distance of Gili.

Israeli festival goers could be seen dancing in the desert at dawn on Saturday, completely unawares that within minutes members of the Hamas militant group were about to descend from the skies and inflict terror

Gili remained motionless, contemplating her children and reassuring herself that it was not yet the time to perish. However, what struck her as the most astonishing was the prolonged absence of any assistance from the army, despite hours passing by.

‘Then I started to hear some Hebrew from one side, [but] Arabic from three sides. I realised that there were some soldiers, maybe five or six.

I made the choice to approach the soldiers, even though there were still terrorists in the vicinity. To ensure they recognized me as a non-threatening individual, I raised my hands as I approached. Eventually, someone guided me into a car.

I was the initial person to leave the field. It took others an additional two or three hours to leave, and throughout the entire journey, people were losing their lives – continuously on the road, particularly young individuals, as it is an event primarily for the youth.

A warning signal in the form of a red siren had notified individuals about the approaching catastrophe, and the resulting instant panic among the gathered people was recorded on video.

Daniel, a festival attendee, described how the siren caused disorder, particularly among the vehicles attempting to leave.

After the sound of gunfire erupted, we were compelled to initiate our escape. At present, we find ourselves concealed, anticipating aid.

The siren was quickly drowned out by gunshots when heavily armed Hamas militants arrived on the scene as the terror group began its attack on Israel which have so far killed hundreds and wounded thousands more.

The Jerusalem Post reports that videos shared on social media show scenes of disorder in the sand at the outdoor party, despite their low quality.

Panicked Israelis can be seen shouting, running, and hurriedly getting into cars as they attempt to escape the festival in the north-western Negev desert, about 5 miles from the city of Ofakim.

“I cannot reword”

Another video of the identical scene shows numerous Israelis seeking shelter and numerous others hastily driving away in crowded vehicles on the dusty terrain.

The caption states, “Israelis are fleeing cities and heading to deserts on foot, by car, and using any available mode of transportation.”

One of those captured was 30-year-old German tattoo artist Shani Louk.

Her lifeless and semi-naked body was paraded in the back of a Hamas pick-up truck as militants sat on top of her and jeered following the violent incursion.

She was recorded lying spread out in the rear of a truck, with one leg positioned unnaturally, while terrorists sat around her and supporters of the group cheered, ran alongside, and showed their disdain by spitting on her.

Last night, it was confirmed that the body, which Hamas had initially claimed to be that of a female Israeli soldier, is actually Shani. Shani’s cousin, Tomasina Weintraub-Louk, informed DailyMail.com that the family identified her through her unique leg tattoos and dreadlocked hair.

She held a picture of Shani on her cellphone and expressed, “Earlier today, my daughter, Shani Nicole Louk, who is a German citizen, was taken hostage along with a group of tourists in southern Israel by Palestinian Hamas.”

A video was sent to us showing our daughter unconscious in the car with the Palestinians, driving around the Gaza Strip.

I kindly request that you provide us with any assistance or updates. Thank you sincerely.

The tragedy comes as Palestinian militants launched its worst onslaught for 50 years on Saturday by unprecedented land, sea and air attacks – even using hang gliders to avoid detection.

During a well-coordinated and simultaneous attack, militants from Palestine infiltrated Israel through the Gaza Strip. They took control of residential areas, and tragically, they also targeted and killed innocent civilians who were observing a Jewish holiday.

There is a concern that numerous individuals have been forcibly taken from the streets and either sent back to Gaza or immediately killed.

Shani attended a music festival that was among the initial targets of the terrorist organization. According to reports, numerous individuals were killed immediately, and additional individuals were held captive by the extremists.

A video, which has been extensively circulated on social media, shows a woman frantically yelling ‘Please don’t harm me!’ as she is forcefully taken away on a motorcycle by an armed individual.

The Mail on Sunday has learned she is Noa Argamani, 25, a student who was seized at the same outdoor peace festival she had attended with her boyfriend close to the border.

Esther Borochov, who fled the rave party, said she survived by playing dead in a car after the driver trying to help her escape was shot point blank.

Bodies of Israeli civilians were strewn across the streets of Sderot in southern Israel, near Gaza, surrounded by broken glass. The bodies of a woman and a man were sprawled across the front seats of a car.

Shlomi from Sderot described witnessing numerous bodies of terrorists, civilians, and damaged cars. He mentioned seeing a large number of bodies scattered throughout Sderot, along the road, and in various other locations.

On live television, Israelis who were filled with fear described their situation while confined to safe rooms.

Other footage showed captured soldiers and civilians – some dead – being paraded through Gaza’s streets.
