Israeli forces have already used its fleet of 600 planes and 300 rocket launchers to relentlessly pound the Gaza Strip, with airstrikes and artillery obliterating 1,000 targets belonging to Hamas.

And the annihilation isn’t stopping there, with Israel’s 173,000 soldiers, including 8,000 of its fearsome elite commandos, vying for the opportunity to kill Hamas terrorists who have killed more than 700 Israelis so far.

They are currently getting ready to initiate a large-scale, organized attack on the ground in the upcoming 48 hours. The objective is to eliminate the Hamas fighters and infrastructure in Gaza, which will result in intense battles taking place on the streets.

The troops on the ground are utilizing Israel’s collection of 300 military tanks, which includes self-propelled howitzers. Their objective is to thoroughly search the southern and northern borders of the country for Hamas gunmen and protect against any breaches in the border.

Israel’s military might is far superior to that of the Hamas terrorists, who currently only possess around 10,000 rockets that had been built up in secret.

Israel has enlisted a staggering 300,000 reservists in addition to its 173,000 active soldiers to counter a multi-front Hamas assault from Gaza. The chief military spokesperson stated that Israel is now taking an offensive approach.

Israel is utilizing its elite and infamous Sayeret Matkal unit, including special forces, to combat Hamas. Their objective is to eliminate high-ranking members of the terrorist organization and liberate the numerous Israelis who have been captured.

The Israeli Defence Forces have expressed their intention to completely remove Hamas from its position of governing in Palestine. This decision comes after what is being referred to as the most devastating day in Israel’s history, with the number of Israeli casualties expected to increase.

Israel initiated a retaliatory assault, resulting in the deaths of numerous Palestinians and the destruction of numerous structures.

The Israeli airstrikes have so far flattened much of the town of Beit Hanoun in the Palestinian enclave’s north-east corner, which Hamas terrorists had been using as a staging ground for their attacks.

The Israeli Air Force released a statement stating that they have conducted a significant number of airstrikes on Gaza within the past 20 hours, targeting over 10,000 specific locations. They have dropped approximately 2,000 munitions and over 1,000 tons of bombs during this time.

Among the targets were three rocket launchers directed at Israel, a mosque where militants were operating and 21 high-rise buildings that served militant activity.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has announced that the authorities will be taking measures to restrict the electricity supply to the Gaza Strip and prevent the entry of food and fuel. He stated that this action is in response to combatting what he referred to as “barbaric terrorists” and that his troops will retaliate accordingly.

The measures will essentially enact siege-like conditions that will see the millions of Palestinians living in the tiny, fenced-in region begin to starve as they are attacked from the skies.

The announcement comes as Israeli soldiers backed by helicopters killed at least two gunmen who crossed the northern border from Lebanon today, in a sign of a possible new front opening as Israel’s forces continued to battle Hamas terrorists to the south.

A local journalist reported that there were sounds of artillery shelling and gunfire at the southern border of Lebanon with Israel.

Previously, the Israeli military stated that it had complete authority over the settlements in its southern region adjacent to Gaza. This came after they had reported engaging in combat with Hamas militants in approximately seven to eight areas in the southern part.

However, he mentioned that there was ongoing conflict in certain areas within Israel, where the combatants remained barricaded. This occurred after they had successfully killed 700 Israelis and captured numerous hostages in a raid, which greatly damaged Israel’s perception of being unbeatable.

In a televised briefing, he stated that searches are currently being conducted in all communities and the area is being cleared.

Military officials had previously said that their focus was on securing Israel’s side of the border before carrying out any major escalation of the counter-offensive in Gaza.

But Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally declared war on Sunday and has vowed to completely destroy ‘the military and governing capabilities’ of Hamas, which is deeply rooted in Gaza and has ruled unchallenged since 2007.

Hagari mentioned that the military has summoned 300,000 reservists since Saturday, indicating the likelihood of intensified combat and a potential invasion of Gaza.

“He stated that we have never mobilized such a large number of reservists before, and emphasized that we are taking an aggressive approach.”

Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus expressed his belief that approximately 1,000 Palestinian gunmen participated in the unprecedented assault on Israel on Sunday. He referred to this event as “the most devastating day in Israeli history.”

Hamas launched a barrage of rockets at Hamas on Saturday and sent a wave of fighters who gunned down hundreds of civilians in cold blood and took at least 100 hostages in a huge co-ordinated attack that took Israel by surprise.

The images of Israeli civilians’ bodies scattered on the streets, killed at a disco and taken from their homes, were unprecedented in the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The terrorists massacred 260 Israeli revellers at a festival in a hail of bullets, with survivors describing how the gunmen went ‘tree by tree’ executing victims.

The individuals who survived the attack shared videos of the terrifying experience on social media. These videos depicted their desperate attempts to seek shelter under bushes and capture whispered goodbye messages to their loved ones, while witnessing the tragic loss of lives.

Numerous individuals remained motionless in intense fear for over five hours until they finally perceived the voices of armed rescuers speaking in Hebrew.

The Palestinian terrorist group stormed the Supernova Festival that had been taking place near Kibbutz Re’im, close to the Gaza Strip, as part of its surprise assault launched on Saturday.

Israel has responded to the tragic deaths of 260 individuals at the music festival and the subsequent rocket attacks by initiating a series of retaliatory actions. Israeli officials have made it clear that they are determined to continue these measures until Hamas is deprived of their authority.

Israel has already retaliated with its most intense bombardment of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of approximately 500 individuals. It is possible that Israel is considering an unparalleled ground attack on the territory it left behind almost twenty years ago.

Hamas claims that the attack is justified due to the difficult situation in Gaza caused by a 16-year blockade, a severe Israeli crackdown in the occupied West Bank, and the intentions of the far-right Israeli government to annex Palestinian land. However, Israel and Western nations argue that there is no justification for intentionally causing the death of innocent civilians.

The military reported that Hamas militants were still entering Israel from Gaza. They stated that approximately 70 to 100 armed individuals have been killed in the Beeri region since Saturday.

Overnight, more than 500 Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets in the Gaza Strip were hit by fighter jets, helicopters, and artillery. These targets encompassed command centers of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, as well as the home of a high-ranking Hamas official named Ruhi Mashtaa.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may face limitations in his ability to take action against Hamas, the governing body of the densely populated Gaza Strip where 2.3 million Palestinians reside. The safety of the Israeli hostages captured during the raid is a significant concern, potentially hindering Netanyahu’s potential for a large-scale invasion of Gaza. Throughout his lengthy tenure as prime minister, Netanyahu has actively sought to avoid such a scenario due to the potential risks it poses to the hostages’ lives.

Israel’s armed forces, currently under scrutiny for a significant lapse in intelligence, have announced that they have successfully regained authority over the majority of infiltration points along security barriers. They claim to have eliminated hundreds of attackers and apprehended dozens of others.

Tens of thousands of soldiers are now around Gaza and the military is evacuating Israelis around the frontier.

Israel has not released an official toll but its media said at least 700 people were killed in Saturday’s attacks, children among them. Military spokesperson Daniel Hagari called it ‘the worst massacre of innocent civilians in Israel’s history.’ Netanyahu has vowed revenge.

Palestinian fighters took dozens of hostages to Gaza, including soldiers and civilians, children and the elderly. A second Palestinian militant group, Islamic Jihad, said it was holding more than 30 of the captives.

Scores of young people were killed in a bloodbath at an outdoor dance party, attacked by the gunmen before dawn on Saturday. About 30 Israelis still missing from the party emerged from hiding on Sunday.

Aaron David Miller, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, stated that Hamas resorted to taking hostages as a means of safeguarding themselves against potential Israeli retaliation, specifically a large-scale ground assault, and as a bargaining tool to secure the release of Palestinian prisoners.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said he had ordered the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to the eastern Mediterranean as a show of support to Israel. In Gaza, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem condemned the U.S. announcement as ‘an actual participation in the aggression against our people’.
