Luton Airport has announced that there will be no flights until 3pm and advises passengers to avoid coming to the airport.

Luton Airport has confirmed the suspension of all flights until 3pm, despite initially stating that services would be cancelled until noon.

The fire department reported that around 1,200 vehicles might have been present in the parking lot during the fire and consequently suffered damage. Photographs reveal numerous cars burnt and covered in debris.

If individuals have not yet arrived in Luton, they will now face the possibility of experiencing significant delays. Flights will not be available until 3pm, and the airport advises passengers to get in touch with their airline for the most up-to-date details.

Yesterday evening, there were reports of vehicle alarms and loud explosions as cars were systematically set on fire. A witness described the rapid spread of the fire through the upper level of the recently constructed car park as astonishing.

Today, there has been chaos at London Luton Airport due to a car park collapse. Approximately 1,200 vehicles were damaged, resulting in the cancellation of all flights until 3pm. Additionally, a massive fire occurred, leading to multiple individuals being hurriedly taken to the hospital.

This morning, the Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service is still fighting the fire at Terminal Car Park 2, which is worth £20 million. The fire started last night before 9pm and caused the multi-storey building to collapse.

Last night, a post near the airport indicated that the fire originated from a solitary vehicle, yet no additional information was provided.
