Eerie abandoned police station with Victorian cells and interview room

Councillors have given their approval for the renovation of a historic police station, which has remained untouched since 2012. The site is now set to be listed for £1.2 million and has the potential to be transformed into two residential properties.

Except for this Victorian-era lock-up, which is frozen in time and has recently been listed for sale, prisons and police stations typically accommodate the most heinous offenders in the nation.

The unaltered police station, currently listed on the property market for a substantial £1.2 million, is available for purchase and includes various jail cells and an interrogation room. It was last in operation in 2012 and has been standing for more than one hundred years.

The property, which was constructed in 1899, retains the typical elements found in contemporary police stations, such as interview rooms and a reception area designed to separate the public from the incarcerated individuals. The former Swanage station in Dorset is currently available for purchase.

There is a spacious parking area located behind the property, which used to house police vans but is now empty. Additionally, there is a kitchen on the first floor that the council has approved for conversion by the future buyers.

The property, which was originally planned to have three bedrooms, is now expected to have four bedrooms. This change in the floor plan could make it a lucrative investment opportunity for interested buyers.
