William and George cheer on Wales against Argentina

Today, Prince George enthusiastically watched the quarter final match between Wales and Argentina in the Rugby World Cup, showing great excitement.

The royal, 10,  travelled to France with Prince William to cheer on Wales at the Stade de Marseille on Saturday, adorably matching with his father.

This is the first time the young person has attended a sports event in another country, and they definitely enjoyed it to the fullest.

While his mother the Princess of Wales supports the England rugby side as the patron of the Rugby Football Union, George, by attending the Wales game, appears to have made his loyalties clear.

George, who is destined to become the Prince of Wales in the future, arrived alongside his father, who holds the position of patron in the Welsh Rugby Union.

Today, Prince George enthusiastically watched the quarter final match between Wales and Argentina in the Rugby World Cup, displaying great excitement.

He resembled William, dressed in identical navy suits and red ties, which appeared to be a patriotic tribute to the Welsh team.

Sir Bill Beaumont, the chairman of World Rugby, along with Martine Nemecek, the deputy chief executive of France 2023, and Gerald Davies, the president of the Welsh Rugby Union, welcomed the pair.

George was the initial person to receive a warm welcome from Sir Bill. He approached and extended his hand to greet the former rugby player from England.

William had a pleasant interaction and conversation with the ex-captain of England, expressing his delight in seeing him and mentioning that he decided to bring George with him for the occasion.

William introduced his son to Davies and mentioned, “Gerald represented Wales and was an exceptional player. On the other hand, Bill played for England.”

William playfully remarked, gesturing towards Davies and then Sir Bill, saying, “He displayed remarkable speed while the other was noticeably slow.”

George and William were seated in the Presidential Box to observe the game.

Last February, George found himself in a dilemma as he stood alongside his parents, observing the England versus Wales match in the Six Nations tournament. He couldn’t make up his mind regarding which team to root for.

When asked at Twickenham about his choice, the young prince responded by shrugging and smiling at William. William laughed and commented that it has become a popular topic in their household, gesturing towards Kate and mentioning that she is quite interested in it. He also mentioned that he is trying to avoid getting involved.

The prince, who is preparing for his school entrance exams this autumn, participates in rugby at his school.

Last year, Kate asked George to tell the group that he was learning to play the game himself. ‘He has all the kit,’ she said. George described how he had begun learning how to tackle, turning to his mother to say: ‘But I haven’t tackled you yet!’

Kate responded with laughter, saying, “Indeed, you have.”

Kate disclosed that George and his siblings, Charlotte (aged six) and Louis (aged three), were all having a great time playing rugby. Louis, in particular, was playing with a daring and reckless style.

In May, William, who is also the patron of the Football Association, faced criticism for his choice to not attend the significant Women’s World Cup final where England competed against Spain in Sydney.

On Sunday, Kate is scheduled to attend the quarter-final match between England and Fiji at the venue in Marseille.

Wales emerged as the top team in their pool, achieving an unbeaten record during the group stages, which included a commanding 40-6 victory against Australia.

Prince William, who had a hectic week, made a playful comment about his most frequently used emoji, hinting that it might be the slightly inappropriate eggplant.

During the interview for BBC Radio 1’s Going Home show, the royal, who is 41 years old, made the comment along with his wife Kate Middleton, who is also 41.

Vick Hope inquired the Prince and Princess of Wales about their most frequently used characters, to which William jokingly responded, “Is this something appropriate? Is it suitable for the family?”

Meanwhile, Kate made a joke, saying that it depends on which group she is referring to, specifically mentioning the family WhatsApp group.

Last week, Prince William and Kate Middleton playfully discussed emojis in an interview with BBC Radio 1.

William said that he was instructed not to choose the aubergine, therefore he must select an alternative option.

He stated, “I cannot reword.”

Kate shared her preferred emojis, stating that she likes using the heart, followed by the crying emoji and the one that represents hysterical laughter during unfortunate situations.

Both Jordan North and Vick Hope were visibly surprised and pleased by William’s answer. Jordan exclaimed, “He mentioned the eggplant emoji, this is fantastic.”

Meanwhile, Vick allegedly stated, “He is aware. He possesses a perverse mindset.”

The discussion then shifted to more secure subjects, as the royal couple talked about their dinner arrangements. They disclosed their intention to savor a curry, and William confessed that he cannot handle excessively spicy food. He stated, “I cannot tolerate too much spice; it makes me perspire. It’s not appealing.”

Kate expressed her preference for adding extra spice to the curry after cooking it.

William jokingly commented that Kate needs to approach the situation delicately because otherwise he becomes too sweaty, which is not a pleasant sight.

The interview took place on Tuesday, as the Wales hosted a forum, Exploring our Emotional Worlds, in Birmingham to mark World Mental Health Day.
