  • A 22-year-old man was captured on surveillance cameras stealing from a jewelry store in Warsaw.
  • He was placed under temporary arrest for a period of three months and is now potentially facing a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
  • Surveillance footage captured the moment a 22-year-old thief stood motionless in a Polish department store posing as a mannequin, waiting to steal.

After maintaining his position until the store closed, the man suddenly became active again, holding a bag and reportedly proceeded to rob a jewelry store in Warsaw.

“In a statement, Assistant Inspector Robert Szumiata from the Śródmieście District Police Headquarters revealed that once he felt secure, the individual proceeded to engage in hunting activities and unlawfully took valuable jewelry from the island.”

The man had reportedly stolen from the department store on previous occasions.

On another occasion, Szumiata claimed that the man once again waited until closing time before going to a nearby bar to have a meal. Afterward, he managed to enter another store by going under a steel curtain and reportedly stole some high-end clothing.
