Adam Johnson’s team-mates pay tribute to the previous ice hockey star

Adam Johnson’s Nottingham Panthers team-mates have paid an emotional tribute to the previous ice hockey star of their first match since his tragic dying.

Johnson, 29, died after an opposing participant’s skate slashed his neck throughout a sport in Sheffield on October 28. A person has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

The Panthers took to the ice on the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday to stage a memorial sport and ‘have fun the lifetime of Adam and the exceptional individual he was’.

A tribute to Johnson was held earlier than the sport and the ten,000 spectators contained in the venue will rise to applaud within the forty seventh minute, a nod to Johnson’s quantity.

The crowd chanted Johnson’s identify and clapped as each groups fashioned a circle across the midway line. The gamers then banged their sticks towards the ice.
