Harry Maguire accepts Ghana MP’s apology who says Man Utd star ‘turned a nook’
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has graciously accepted the apology of a Ghanaian MP a 12 months after being publicly ridiculed.
MP Isaac Adongo went viral after evaluating the Englishman’s dismal performances to Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia’s financial administration. Adongo brutally labelled the previous Red Devils captain ‘the biggest threat at the centre of the Manchester United defence,” before adding: “Mr. Speaker, when you see the opponents go to score, Maguire will score for them.”
But Adongo this week backtracked and made a public apology in front of parliament in light of the 30-year-old’s shock resurgence this season – whereas nonetheless taking purpose at his political adversaries.

He mentioned: “I apologise to Harry Maguire. Today he’s turned a corner and is a transformational footballer. Maguire is now scoring goals for Manchester United.
“He is now a key player for Manchester United. But as for our Maguire (Vice-President Bawumia), he is now roaming at the IMF with a cup in hand!”

And within the newest twist in a weird crossover between Premier League soccer and Ghanaian politics, Maguire has himself now taken to Twitter to answer the apology.
He tweeted: “MP Issac Adongo apology accepted. See you at Old Trafford soon,” adopted by emojis of a handshake and a smiley face.

Maguire shall be happy to lastly be receiving plaudits after a nightmare 2022/23 season which noticed him obtain swathes of abuse and criticism on social media, be stripped of his captaincy and banished to the bench.
