Bloke working to each Chinese takeaway in UK and says he’ll get to all 7,021

An exercise-loving bloke is planning on working to each Chinese takeaway within the UK – and won’t cease till he has visited all of them.

Josh Durant picked up the working bug and determined to see how far he may push himself, each bodily and actually as he now begins a tour of the UK, visiting as many takeaways as he can discover.

The avid runner just isn’t ruling out journeys to Northern Ireland both as he units out on his purpose to go to all 7,021 Chinese takeaways within the nation. It is, Josh admits, a challenge which is able to take just a few years no less than to finish.

Spurred on by inspirational pint hero Jon May, runner Josh has taken to TikTok to doc his journey and, chatting with the Daily Star, says he has massive plans for the ultimate go to.

Josh has already handed the 50 takeaways mark, documenting each place on his social media accounts, though there are 7,021 in whole.

“I am determined to carry on with the challenge,” Josh stated. The toll of visiting 1000’s and 1000’s of takeaways just isn’t misplaced on the runner taking over a serious challenge.

He added: “I have recently started running and wanted to put some reason behind it and bring people along on my journey.” Beyond a current inclination to run, there was inspiration from boozy Brit Jon May, whose 2,000 pints has “helped” Josh “come up with the idea of running to the Chinese restaurants.”

Running totally on “weekends and in the evenings” after work and setting a mean tempo of “3km to 7km” per run – Josh has made it clear he sees the challenge persevering with for a while.

Josh has fortunately dominated out consuming at each single one of many eating places and can as an alternative solely be consuming at “milestones” to mark 100 takeaways and on. He added: “The Chinese restaurants far away will definitely be a challenge as I’m not able to run that far. Some are over 200 miles away.

“My plan will likely be to take a weekend away in an space and run round it whereas I’m there. The takeaways in Northern Ireland would be the most difficult as I can not get there on foot and must journey over just a few instances.”

Though he may be “a few years” away from completing his goal, Josh already has plans for a big blowout at takeaway 7,021. He said: “I’m relying on the final takeaway I can get a giant group of individuals to come back to the Chinese and have a giant meal collectively.”
