Man escapes after tree smashes his automotive

Terrifying footage has captured the second a driver dodged loss of life when lightning struck a tree subsequent to his parked automotive, sending large branches crashing down onto it.

The stunning incident occurred on a road in Mudgee, in central NSW, round 270km north-west of Sydney.

Dashcam footage of the incident was captured by one other car parked close by and uploaded to Instagram by the fortunate driver, recognized solely as Simon, on Thursday.

The stunning clip confirmed the second the crimson 2009 Hyundai Getz, which seems orange within the video, was hit by the large tree branches.

A couple of moments later Simon was seen strolling again to his automotive and appeared shocked by the dimensions of the destruction he immediately encountered.  

He later posted the video of his close to brush with loss of life on social media with a caption saying he would now be getting himself a lottery ticket after his fortunate escape. 

‘I’m off to purchase a lotto ticket’, he wrote.
