Police warn public to not method pair who escaped from jail

Police have warned the general public to not method two males who escaped from jail who have been serving an accumulative 11-year sentence once they left.

Benjamin Pownall and Jack Humphries left the open jail at round 5.15pm on Wednesday, and police consider the pair escaped in a automobile.

Pownall, 27 and Humphries, 28,  absconded from HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire and are believed to have travelled into Staffordshire.

Serving a four-year four-month sentence, Pownall was in for theft, weapons and driving offences.

Humphries had been jailed for seven years and two months for drug offences.
