Armed police rushed to a city centre this afternoon after experiences of an individual noticed with a handgun.
Locals in Cheadle, North Staffordshire, have been warned to remain inside, after police had been known as to the High Street this afternoon at 4.20pm.
One witness claimed a person was noticed with what gave the impression to be a handgun and was out on the road ‘knocking on home windows and doorways’, StokeonTrentLive experiences.
Staffordshire Police has deployed specialist officers to the scene in what’s an ongoing incident. No additional particulars have been launched by the power.
