Glam jail officer accused of telephone intercourse ‘started crying throughout calls’, court docket instructed
A jail officer, who’s accused of getting “phone sex” with a prisoner throughout an alleged “inappropriate relationship”, says she was in tears throughout calls, the court docket heard.
Ruth Shmylo, 26, was working at HMP Parc in Bridgend when it was alleged she had an intimate relationship with a prisoner.
Shmylo, from Bridgened, was going through questions within the dock at Cardiff Crown Court in the present day (December 19).
The former jail officer gave proof on alleged telephone intercourse calls with inmate Harri Pullen, whereas she was working on the jail. Shmylo denies one rely of misconduct in public workplace.

Defence barrister Clare Wilks instructed the court docket how Shmylo instructed police in her interview about telephone intercourse.
Shmylo was requested what number of occasions this had occurred and mentioned: “Harri contacted me and did that a handful of times.”
Ms Wilks continued by asking: “Did you have any sexual arousal from the phone calls?”
As reported by WalesOnline, Shmylo replied: “No, when I became aware Harri was [pleasuring himself] I told him to stop and began crying. He became angry and said ‘You’re making out I’m a nonce’. I repeatedly told him ‘I don’t want this, I don’t want this’.”

The court docket heard how Shmylo was requested by the police if she would progress a grievance in opposition to Harri Pullen.
Shmylo mentioned: “I thought relief, I thought I’m actually telling someone, she’s listening to me and understood what he did to me and I thought that’s what would actually happen.”
Ms Wilks later requested: “Has anyone ever contacted you about progressing your complaint about Harri Pullen?”
Shmylo mentioned: “No.”

The defendant broke down in tears as she gave proof to the court docket yesterday (December 18).
Shmylo mentioned Pullen would name her “continuously” and would threaten different prisoners if she didn’t reply his calls.
She mentioned: “He made threats to actually harm me, if I had a partner he would kill me and them, threatened to come to my house with my family, threatened to hot water my brother in law, to harm my cats, to come to my house.”
When Ms Wilks requested if something “sexual or physical” had taken place within the jail, Shmylo mentioned: “No.”
