The killers, now aged 16 but 15 at the time, blamed each other for the horrific slaughter. Intelligent, “high functioning” and coming from regular backgrounds, the trial at Manchester Crown Court heard the pair had a fascination for violence, torture and homicide and a “thirst for killing.”

Neither had been in bother with police earlier than being convicted of homicide on Wednesday, December 20.

Boy Y, identified with autism spectrum dysfunction and who’s non-verbal, and woman X, who has traits of autism and ADHD, had been discussing Brianna’s homicide for weeks, detailed in a hand-written homicide plan and telephone messages discovered by cops.

Girl X even watched her “favourite” film Sweeney Todd the night before Brianna was knifed.

They drew up a “kill list” of 4 different youths they supposed to hurt, till Brianna had the “misfortune” to be befriended by Girl X, who grew to become “obsessed” along with her.

Brianna had hundreds of followers on TikTook, however in actuality was a withdrawn, shy and anxious teenager who struggled with melancholy and barely left her residence.

Detectives consider Brianna was killed as a result of she was weak and accessible, along with her loss of life not a hate crime however achieved for “enjoyment” and a “thirst for killing”.

A jury of seven males and 5 girls convicted Gilr X and Boy Y following a four-week trial after 4 hours and 40 minutes of deliberations.
