‘We take Christmas decorations down on Boxing Day – our friends suppose it is bizarre’

She added: “I’ve got to find out where to put it all – and it’s so much easier to put them away without all the decorations cluttering up all the rooms.

“So it’s incredibly chaotic – a mess, but a lovely mess.”
