Saint-Gervais Mayor Jean-Marc Peillex mentioned the climate circumstances have been too unstable for such dangerous outings.

‘It rained, it snowed, it was heat. There are sufficient marked paths to ski on,’ he instructed BFM tv.

‘It’s horrible what occurred. A household is decimated, and we’re very unhappy in Saint-Gervais.’
