Someone who purchased it in August returned it to the Hastings Advice & Representation Centre store after only one night time. The subsequent proprietor mentioned she was chased by a ghostly black determine after she took it dwelling.

It ultimately ended up within the fingers of James Kislingbury, MD of the London Bridge Experience – and he confirmed to the Daily Star lately that he’d been struck by the curse from the second he picked up the portray.

“On the journey back I had problems with the car, the electrics were playing up, the radio wasn’t working and my phone wasn’t connecting,” he mentioned.

“We took the portray out of the automobile, it was wrapped in paper and cardboard and there was a drop of water on her brow, which was weird, as a result of water wouldn’t simply sit there on a automobile journey.

“Within a matter of days, we had reports from staff members that they could hear footsteps following them down the stairwell. That happened to me on one occasion. We’ve also had mysterious noises downstairs.”

And now the vacationer venue has been flooded twice, stories the Daily Mail.

“We’ve had a couple of floods on the site between November and December. We came in one morning and the basement was flooded,” James mentioned.

“We’ve had small leaks in the past, but nothing on this scale. We’re lucky that the building is quite robust so the damage wasn’t too bad, but it was a little bit unexpected.

“I know a cynic would say it’s just a coincidence, but given the volume of things which keep happening, I do find myself questioning whether there’s more to the painting than meets the eye.”

James beforehand informed the Daily Star: “There have been a lot of odd things that have happened on site. You just can’t put two and two together. It’s really bizarre.”

When James took the portrait dwelling, his father-in-law fell ailing and his dishwasher and toaster blew up. And quickly after he purchased the eerie portray, James went on his hols along with his spouse and two children – and that journey was a little bit of a catastrophe.

“I ended up hurting my shoulder badly and we had problems on the ferry and with the hotel. It was a bit of a blighted holiday, to be honest,” he mentioned.
