Joey Barton warns Gary Neville keep out of ladies in footy row or ‘get emptied’

Joey Barton has warned Gary Neville to maintain out of his girls’s soccer feud with ITV.

Barton, 41, continued his sexist rampage towards girls in soccer this week by referring to ITV pundits Eni Aluko and Lucy Ward as “the Fred and Rose West of football commentary,” distastefully referencing the 2 notorious murderers. The broadcaster has since hit again by calling Barton out for his “clearly contemptible and shameful” remarks in a press release.

That prompted Sky Sports pundit Neville to criticise Barton whereas praising ITV’s response. “Well done ITV. It’s gone too far this and mentioning serial killers is quite simply incredible,” he wrote on X.

Neville went on to elucidate how his mom was prevented from taking part in soccer within the Nineteen Sixties as a result of misogyny. He added: “I come from a family that has fought these issues for years and I’ve witnessed it first hand.

“All this does is just discourage and it’s not the way forward. It’s bloody hard work for women to succeed in sport and media as it is without this stuff.”

But that did little to relax the blabbering Barton, as he replied simply 9 minutes later with a hot-tempered tweet. The former Manchester City and Newcastle midfielder warned the Manchester United legend to remain out of the row – or danger the implications.

Barton raged: “Gary, please preserve your head down or you’ll get emptied as effectively. I do know they pay your wages and I don’t need to need to put you away.

Former supervisor Barton, who was sacked in October by Bristol Rovers, has repeatedly posted unhinged rants over the previous month ridiculing the usual of ladies’s soccer. He has sparked outrage by calling for feminine pundits and commentators to be faraway from the lads’s sport, attracting criticism from the likes of Laura Woods, Emma Hayes and Piers Morgan.
