Brit ‘hazard vacationer’ had Taliban in stitches over ‘rest room bomb’ jokes
A British hazard vacationer who was detained by the Taliban in Afghanistan claims he had the extremely conservative fighters in stitches along with his rest room humour.
Birmingham native Miles Routledge, who has styled himself as some form of intrepid Christian explorer, had been detained by the Taliban in Kabul for eight months, and did seem to develop a relationship with some youthful members of the organisation that guidelines Afghanistan.
He was not too long ago freed and has been sharing extra about his expertise on X, previously Twitter. In one fond recounting of a visit to the lavatory, he claimed: “When I was in Taliban prison and dropped a big one in the toilet, I would say to the Taliban ‘American bomb Afghanistan…*pause*….miles bomb Afghanistan toilet’ and they’d always laugh.”

He added: “It’s a fever dream of a memory but yeah dad jokes and cheesy puns work anywhere. Lads are lads all over the world.”
And it does seem that Miles, a former Birmingham University scholar, had a fever of some sort, as he shared photos of himself throwing up in a rest room.
He wrote: “Completing the British explorer arc from dying of dysentery and food poisoning.”
It comes as he seems to be giving his followers on X the chance to purchase clothes signed by his former captors.
He wrote: “I’m at the Taliban cheeta shoes factory and distribution center. We’re going to order in bulk, get them signed by the Taliban and export to my fine followers.”
The Taliban shoe warehouse seems to be in Pakistan and Miles instructed followers asking the place they’ll order the clobber: “Give it a month and my store shall be up and operational.”
He additionally mentioned he hopes to realize visas to do a highway journey from the UK to Afghanistan on his subsequent journey.
