Blundering Tory area minister does not know planets and confuses Sun with Mars
Our new thicko area minister can’t inform the Earth from Uranus.
Andrew Griffith repeatedly didn’t establish the proper planets throughout an interview with the Science Museum’s journal.
The frontbencher on the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology obtained Mars combined up with the Sun and Saturn with Jupiter.

He was excited by a globe exhibit in London that switches look from planet to planet – and stated: “Now we have Mars.” But an worker corrected: “Er, no. That is the Sun.”

The hapless minister, who has been answerable for the area sector since November, tried once more: “Saturn,” he exclaimed when a planet with a giant purple spot appeared – however was informed: “No, no, Jupiter.”
The politician huffed: “I’m not an encyclopaedia.” Fortunately for him, Mr Griffith claimed he wouldn’t wish to go to area.

He stated: “Would I want to be the first minister in space? I think the whole idea of space exploration is fascinating. It’s enormously good that people like Tim Peake and others do that, but I’m respectful of the amount of proficiency that goes into it.”
This comes after the president of UK Space revealed she believes we are going to make contact with aliens. And as Nasa’s Peregrine spaceship to the Moon carrying the ashes of Star Trek stars hit the skids this week, Dr Alice Bunn reckons there’s a lot to be discovered from missions which go unsuitable.

She says: “Space missions are hard but what’s really interesting about them is they are exquisitely engineered. We are pushing every material to its limit.
“When a mission has been profitable, you see it’s arrived, hurrah! You don’t hear of all of the close to misses alongside the best way. In this mission they are going to have been in a position to take a look at out and show an entire load of levels. It will most likely not be remembered as a fulsome success though there can be some discovery alongside the best way.”

On making contact with aliens, she stated: “Will we find aliens or will they find us? I think it’s inevitable. Statistically there is likely to be life out there.”
