Jockey Kelsey Hannan airlifted to hospital and put in induced coma after crash
Jockey Kelsey Hannan has reportedly been positioned in an induced coma after falling off her horse.
The 21-year-old reportedly fell and misplaced consciousness on the Strathalbyn Racecourse in Australia. It’s believed she had completed her race on horse Iva Dream when she clipped one other horse’s heels.
This unrided the jockey, who was positioned in a neck brace and airlifted to Royal Adelaide Hospital. She was stated to have been capable of transfer her legs and arms and was reportedly positioned in an induced coma.

Racing South Australia postponed the remaining races from the meet. The remainder of the cardboard is now supposed to run subsequent Friday.
Hannan, from New Zealand, had solely simply recovered from a damaged jaw, and had ridden six winners previously two weeks.
She had suffered the jaw harm in October, and want surgical procedure to have a plate and screws inserted into the bone.
She had stated: “It was very gutting but with horses these things happen and you can’t really tell when it’s going to happen.
“I’ve had surgical procedure to place a plate and a few screws in it, so now it is only a ready recreation.
“The swelling is going down, I’ve got a big, ugly bruise on my chin but overall I think the healing is going OK. I’m on a puree diet for six weeks.”
