“I’ve never been one of those women, or people, desperate to find a husband,” Brocarde insisted in an unique interview with Daily Star’s My Colourful Life collection. “I’ve always been very driven and career oriented and free-spirited – I love to travel.”
“I’ve never been desperate to find a man, I feel like I’m quite cautious in terms of putting myself out there because even though to a lot of people I married a ghost, it was still quite an intense experience.
“So I’m simply cautiously simply placing myself on the market, cautiously beginning to date and attempt to see the place that takes me.
“Obviously dating humans is a lot different to dating ghosts, it’s a whole new world I guess.”
Brocarde admitted that she discovered it troublesome to get recommendation on how one can date a ghost, as solutions to navigate a human-spirit relationship will not be available on Google. She defined that she needed to seek the advice of non secular mediums to get relationship woes off her chest.
But, even these linked to the spirit world could not assist Brocarde handle her reference to Edwardo. The singer continued: “From the beginning, you have to remember that I wasn’t prepared for any of this – you can’t Google how to handle a ghost.”
“So, over time, I took advice from spiritual mediums to try and assert my boundaries with him to say ‘no, you’re scaring me’, ‘no, I don’t want your presence around me’.
“But to be sincere with you, it didn’t actually work.”
Despite trying to make their marriage work, five months after tying the knot – in front of the ghosts of Marilyn Monroe and Johnny Cash – Brocarde decided to get Edwardo exorcised. And, at the same chapel they got married at.
On reflection, the eccentric singer believes that she didn’t have much control in the relationship. Now rid of the ‘scary presence’ of her ex, Brocarde will be putting boundaries in place for future relationships – human or ghoul.
“So I don’t assume I ever actually did get any management of the connection in any respect,” Brocarde candidly shared. “But that’s in all probability to be anticipated as a result of nature of my relationship.
“I didn’t reach a stage where I could sort of put my boundaries in place, I feel like the only boundary I really had was getting him exorcised.
“That was me saying, I don’t need you in my life and I don’t need that scary presence any extra.”
