TikTok ‘sickos’ impersonate lifeless teen and instructed buddies ‘I’m alive’

A sickening TikTok prank noticed a lifeless teenager impersonated by “sickos” who despatched buddies an “I’m alive” message a decade after his dying.

Dylan Ramsay sadly drowned in a quarry on July 3, 2011, and now horrid pranksters are impersonating the teen on the social media app. Dylan’s mum Rebecca has fumed on the ghoulish presence and hit out on the disgusting “live” stream.

Rebecca, 43, has spent the previous 12 years elevating consciousness for the risks of open-water swimming and was left in “complete shock” to see her son’s likeness had been used on TikTok.

A coroner who oversaw the inquest into Dylan’s dying discovered the teen had died as a result of chilly water shock, and now Rebecca is hitting out on the folks pretending to be her lifeless son.

She stated: “My phone went and it was one of Dylan’s friends. I wondered why so obviously answered. The young lady who called asked if I was sitting down. I said yes and she proceeded to tell me that she had been in a live TikTok and an account came in with a picture of Dylan she recognized immediately.

“This particular person stated to her ‘It’s Dylan, I’m not lifeless I’m alive’. She was very shaken so left the ‘live’ immediately and referred to as me. What type of sicko makes accounts pretending to be my lifeless son? Telling his buddies that he is alive – fuming do not come shut!

“I just can’t get over that people do this. My son has not been with us for 12 years. It’s just so low.” Rebecca has stated she continues to be “struggling” with the horrifying prank, and warned for others it may “push someone over the edge.”

She is now attempting to find the account accountable for the TikTok livestream and is hoping to assist others safeguard themselves from merciless pranksters on-line.

Rebecca added: “I have had so many kind messages from people checking if I am okay as others may not deal with the situation like me. If it can help raise awareness that would be great. There should be something in place to ensure that this isn’t allowed.

“When Dylan’s pal rang and instructed me I used to be in full shock. I feel I’m nonetheless struggling to consider anybody may very well be so nasty. My concern is extra for if this was to occur to somebody weak it may probably push somebody over the sting.”
