Clapham chemical assault sufferer, aged 3, suffers attainable life-changing accidents
Two of the victims from final night time’s chemical assault in London final night time have suffered “potentially life-changing” accidents.
A 31-year-old lady and three-year-old lady are thought to have been badly harm within the corrosive substance assault that happened in Clapham in south London final night time (Wednesday, January 31). The Metropolitan police stated that an eight-year-old lady had additionally been harm.
Witnesses spoke of how the girl was left screaming “I can’t see, I can’t see,” and “My eyes. My eyes. Call the police. My eyes.” Police have now launched a manhunt for the suspect with no arrests having been made on the time of writing.

Reports noted that the man was seen running off following the attack, with one witness initially claiming to have given chase. In total, 12 people are understood to have been injured in the attack, including three police officers. LBC reports that the 31-year-old woman and the man are known to each other with police describing him as a “harmful particular person”.

The incident occurred at round 7:25pm final night time with emergency providers known as to Lessar Avenue close to Clapham Common and Clapham South Underground Station.
According to the Sun, one witness claimed: “There was just a little child lady banging on the door on the dad’s aspect, the girl was crying, screaming and calling for assist. He opened the door, took out the infant and banged her towards the bottom twice.”
It has been reported that the man initially “slammed” the woman “to the bottom twice”. Detective Superintendent Alexander Castle said: “Officers are on scene following this horrific incident. Three victims – a woman and her two young children – have been taken to hospital for treatment. Three other people – all adults – have been taken to hospital for injuries sustained, we believe, as they came to their aid.

“Three police officers have also been taken to hospital after they responded to the incident. Thankfully we believe their injuries to be minor,” the officer continued.
“While tests are ongoing to determine what the substance is, at this stage we believe it to be a corrosive substance. A man was seen fleeing the scene. We are drawing on resources from across the Met to apprehend this individual and work is ongoing to determine what has led to this awful incident.”

Shannon Christi, 35, instructed the Independent: “I heard screaming ‘help, help’ and came outside. I saw the man throwing the girl on the floor like he was in a wrestling ring. He was angry. I rushed in and grabbed her. I didn’t see what he looked like or where he went I was focused on her. I poured water on her and called the ambulance. The child was crying she told me her name and she was three but I couldn’t hear her through the tears.”
Ms Christi obtained hospital remedy after her lips and fingers started to burn after she got here into contact with the kid.
